Citadel: Base XV-88 12Ml

The coverage on this base paint is fantastic—one smooth coat over grey primer and the brown is perfectly opaque. At 12ml it lasts a good while, and the consistency out of the pot is just right for brushing without thinning.

The coverage is surprisingly good for a base paint, and it goes on smoothly even over a dark primer. I just wish the pot was a bit bigger for the price.

I was a bit skeptical about the 12ml pot size, but this base paint gives a really smooth, even coat on my space marine shoulder pads. The consistency is just right—not too thick or runny straight out of the pot.
