Citadel: Base Leadbelcher 12Ml

I finally found a metallic silver that doesn't need three coats to cover black primer. The consistency is perfect right out of the pot for basecoating armor panels.

The pot is small, but a little goes a long way on a 28mm model, and the smooth, opaque finish means my basecoat layer actually looks like metal instead of gray sludge. I did need two thin passes over some primed deep recesses, but that's pretty standard for a metallic.

It covers in one coat for a metallic, which is nice, but the pot seems to dry out faster than I'd like. Gets the job done for basecoating, though I’ll probably switch to a dropper bottle next time.
