Owen ★★★★★

Pulling a tile and deciding whether to expand a road or claim a field is surprisingly tense for such a simple game. The way the landscape builds up differently every time keeps it fresh, and I love that a round takes about 45 minutes.

The meeples are cute and the tile art is detailed, though the scoring track can be a bit fiddly with multiple players. Setup is quick, so we can get to the strategy part fast.

David C. ★★★★☆

Picked this up for game night and the tile-laying mechanic keeps everyone engaged without dragging on. Only wish the base game included more player expansions, but it's solid for two to four people.
