Category: Miniatures

The Ranger Trackers unit for the Night's Watch brings a swift cavalry unit to a Commander's arsenal. They may not hit hard, and a good Commander will keep them out of harm's way, but their ability to cause enemy units to become Vulnerable is an invaluable resource. Either setting up for a shot from their own recurve bows or a charge from another friendly unit, enemy forces will be wary of the sounds of galloping hooves in the distance. This product is an expansion: A Song of Ice and Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game core set required to play.

I was worried the horses would look awkward in motion, but the dynamic poses are fantastic and really sell the speed. The riders' cloaks have great flow to them, and the detail on the fur trim is a nice touch for this scale.

The sculpts really capture that weary, cold-weather patrol look, and the horses have a great sense of movement. Their speed advantage in game makes them perfect for flanking objectives without committing to a fight.

Finally got these Night's Watch cavalry on the table, and their speed is exactly what my army needed to outflank opponents. The models' poses really sell the idea of quick scouts, even if they can't take a hit.
