Citadel: XL Base Brush

The ferrule on this brush is tight and secure, which makes loading it with paint for base coating large flat surfaces feel very controlled. I've already painted a couple of Space Marine shoulders and it holds a fine point despite being a wider brush.

The handle feels a bit thin for my larger hands, but the brush does lay down paint smoothly across a Space Marine's shoulder pad. It works fine for base coating, though I expected the bristles to hold their shape a little better after a few uses.

The bristles hold enough paint for a base coat, but I’ve noticed a few loose hairs shedding after just a week of use. It works fine for covering space marine legs, though I expected a bit more durability for the price.
