The neutron laser option adds a nice bit of visual variety to the walker. Assembly took a few hours but the pieces fit together cleanly.

The legs are surprisingly posable for a plastic kit, letting me set a dynamic walking pose. The massive neutron laser barrel gives it a real intimidating presence on the table.

The 119-component assembly is a proper weekend project, but every joint and panel fits so cleanly that the walker basically builds itself. The finished Dunecrawler has this commanding presence on the shelf, and the detail on the legs alone makes the effort worthwhile.
