Getting Started with Warhammer 40K

The breakdown of the different factions finally made sense to me, and the step-by-step hobby guide took the intimidation out of building my first miniatures. I've already re-read the core rules section twice to make sure I have them straight.

I was completely lost before picking this up, but the way it breaks down the core rules and walks you through each faction finally made the game click for me. The hobby section alone is worth it — it gave me a clear starting point for building and painting my first minis without feeling overwhelmed.
