The neoprene material lays perfectly flat right out of the package, no curling edges to fight with. My dungeon tiles actually stay in place during frantic games now, and the print is crisp enough to see every corridor clearly.

I was worried about how it would handle minis with pointy bases, but the neoprene surface has just enough grip to keep everything standing. The print is sharp enough that the grid lines are easy to read at a glance.

Finally, a mat that actually stays flat during play. The neoprene fabric feels sturdy and gives just enough cushion for cards and dice. It makes the dungeon tiles pop in a way the cardboard board never did.
